Can an accident cause a herniated disc?

Can an accident cause a herniated disc?
Trauma from an accident can cause what's known as a herniated disc. In the cervical spine between the vertebral bodies of these bones, there's a cushion, or what we call the disc and, often times in a car wreck or a trip and fall accident, it can cause the disc to actually pop out and press on the nerve.   That can be a permanent condition resulting to what's known as radiculopathy, pain or numbness shooting down in extremity. If you or a loved one have been hurt in an accident, please give me a call and we'll sit down and figure out if you have a case together.
