Who is liable with a dog bite?

Who is liable with a dog bite?
In Florida, an owner of a dog is strictly liable for a dog bite. In Florida, you do not get one free bite. If your dog bites somebody, the owner is liable, regardless of whether the owner knew the dog was vicious or not, and regardless of whether the dog had a history of viciousness. Another thing to look at is, does the owner rent from a landlord? If there's a landlord-tenant situation, it's possible that the landlord could also be responsible for the dog bite. The reason why a smart lawyer would look into this is to find the most insurance coverage available to provide protection for the person that's bitten by the dog. If you or a loved one have been bitten by a dog, please give me a call, and we'll sit down together and figure it out.
