How does sleep paralysis happen?

How does sleep paralysis happen? Sleep paralysis occurs when someone is aware, and at the moment of time whether either waking up from sleep or going to sleep, and they lose control of their arms and legs. This often happens because the person has not completed what's known as REM sleep, or rapid eye movement sleep. Often times, we see it in our practice, with people that have suffered post-traumatic stress disorder from a severe wreck. If you or a loved one is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder from the wreck and have problems with sleep paralysis, please come into our office and sit down with me. Together we can and will figure out if you have a case. At Holliday Karatinos, we are here to help. Give us a call today.
